Writing has always been at the heart of my work — even if I didn’t fully realise it back when I was writing up my research for scientific journals. Over the years, conveying ideas clearly and thoughtfully, in both style and substance, has been central to every part of my career.

I’ve had the opportunity to contribute articles to The Economist on subjects I care deeply about — a fantastic experience and a chance to bring together my editorial, scientific and storytelling backgrounds.
